Yo, dude. Great blog updates so far! I especially liked the St. Louis part. It's funny because I don't think I've been to any of the places you mentioned in St. Louis, except for the Science Center. Was Hwy 40 still a mess while you were there? Did you stay on the Illinois side of St. Louis most of the time you were there? Also, are you planning to post pictures to your blog as well?
Sounds like the trip has been really good so far. A couple unexpected changes in plans, but that's always expected. I can imagine even more so when embarking on a journey of such magnitude. I hope you continue to have good weather and great scenery.
What do you do in the car while driving? I imagine you singing some '80's glam rock at the top of your lungs with your aviator shades on and your gross mustache (I'm picturing you as I last saw your pictures on Facebook). Are you doing any books on tape or anything like that? One of my friends told me there is a bible on tape, and the whole thing is narrated by Johnny Cash...you should definitely get that.
How many days has the trip been thus far? How many days left? Which cities are you the most excited for? I bet the Southeast will be really nice. Don't forget to check out Amelia island if you have time (east of Jacksonville). Also, Cumberland Island (which is at the most southeast point of Georgia) is also suppose to be really nice. Never been, but heard good things. I would tell you to try to get ahold of my old roommate Dave while in Florida, but I haven't talked to him forever.
Not much new in Australia. Still on my quest to become a professional rock climber. I can't decide which is a more badass career....accounting or rock climbing. Any thoughts? We're also getting ready for my dad to be here. He'll be here in 5 days, which is crazy. It'll be great to have our first visitor. It'll be nice while he's here, because we'll pretty much just chill in Brisbane...a couple days at the horse races, an Aussie Rules football game, maybe some surfing, some hiking at the glasshouse mountains, etc. Plus a week off from work..can't wait.
Well, that's all I have for you for now. Hope your trip continues to be safe and insightful. Keep the blog updates coming. Watch out for the speed traps. Take care! -Papeks
Yeah I was in Belleville, Il, most of the time except for that restaurant, Sweetie Pie's and the Science Center, which was kinda refreshing since I've already seen alot of St. Louis, being there to visit you so many times. I do sing to some glam rock every now and then, but the moustache is gone. I mostly just put my ipod on shuffle and enjoy my 5200 song playlist I made before I left. Sometimes I get a hankerin' for a certain band and just listen to entire albums. I definitely will look into some books on tape, though, good idea. I left April 2nd, and plan on it taking about a month, I still plan on seeing Atlanta, Macon, Savannah, Jacksonville, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, The Keys, Ft. Meyers, Tampa, Mobile, New Orleans!, Houston, and Oklahoma City and Topeka on the way back. I will probably visit Amelia Island, but I can't see myself affording to spend the night there. Prolly just a motel 6 in Jax. Accountant. Definitely more badass. :) Say hey to Bob for me. Thanks for the well wishes, same to you and Kristin!
What Up!
My name is Matt, and I am a Graphic Design student in Omaha, NE. I am starting this blog as an assignment, but plan on using it after this for quite a few things.... Stay Tuned!
